Launch of the World Report on Forced Labour

The latest Global Estimates indicate that 25 million people are in forced labour globally. How can the world community get firmly on track toward eliminating forced labour? The International Labour Organization report Ending forced labour by 2030: A review of policies and programmes was published on 10 December 2018 and shows the way with policy approaches and responses.

Part 1 gives a quantitative and qualitative overview of Forced Labour in the world today.

Part 2 looks at how we can put the 2014 Forced Labour Protocol into action through prevention (awareness raising, fair recruitment, due diligence and addressing root causes), victim protection, remedies and law enforcement mechanisms.

Part 3 looks at how non-state actors can help eradicate Forced Labour through international partnerships and knowledge sharing.
