Priorities
Establish an Alliance 8.7 multisectoral National Committee to combat human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour
Appoint the members of the Alliance 8.7 multisectoral National Committee
Create and set up provincial, departmental, and local committees in identified geographic areas where human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and child labour are practiced.
Provide material and financial support to the national coordination committee of Alliance 8.7.
Develop a national action plan to combat human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour.
Establish and/or periodically update the mapping of interventions aimed at eliminating human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour.
Develop and publish a legal act determining the list of hazardous work prohibited for children.
Establish an alert mechanism and an observatory for cases of human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour
Create a database to record all cases of human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour
Strengthen information, education, and communication efforts targeting the general public on combating human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour
Mobilize, raise awareness, and inform administrative, military, and traditional authorities about combating human trafficking, modern slavery, and the worst forms of child labour
Advocate with political and community decision-makers for their involvement in achieving SDG Target 8.7
Develop terms of reference (ToR) for monitoring questionnaires; organize monitoring, evaluation, and data collection missions
Provide technical and financial support to vulnerable families to create income-generating activities (IGAs)
Reintegrate children who are victims of the worst forms of child labour into their families and into vocational training
Recruit labour inspectors and social workers
Train labour inspectors and provide them with adequate material resources
Conduct a legal review of all national instruments related to human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour.
Develop proposals to amend national legal instruments in order to update and align them with the achievement of SDG Target 8.7 for the 2025–2030 objective.
Increase funding for activities aimed at eliminating human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour.
Strengthen international cooperation to combat human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and the worst forms of child labour.
