Child Labour Workshop

Pathfinder Country Workshop on the Marrakech Global Framework for Action against Child Labour

How can Pathfinder Countries strengthen and accelerate action to eliminate child labour?

Following the adoption of the Marrakech Framework at the 6th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour in February 2026, the workshop will provide an opportunity for Pathfinder Countries to reflect and share experiences on the integration of the Framework's commitments and priorities into SDG 8.7 roadmaps.

To accommodate participation across regions and languages, the workshop will be offered two times:

  • 17 September, 09:00-10:30 CEST (English only)
  • 22 September, 16:00-17:30 CEST (with English, French and Spanish interpretation)

The 22 September session will follow the Alliance 8.7 multi-stakeholder dialogue on due diligence (12:00-14:30 CEST) and form part of a dedicated Alliance workshop day.

The workshop will be structured around an introductory segment, with a presentation of the Marrakech Framework’s key priorities and indicators, as well as reflections on key thematic areas from the Alliance Action Group leads on Supply Chains (ILO), Migration (IOM) and Agriculture (FAO). This will be followed by perspectives by employers and workers before moving on to the main segment, which will focus on a discussion on the further integration of the Marrakech Framework’s priorities and progress on its’ indicators in Pathfinder Country roadmaps, reporting and next steps in this regard.
