Why This Meeting Matters

The 6th Global Conference, to be held in Morocco in February 2026, will bring together governments, employers, workers, civil society, international organisations and other stakeholders with the aim of accelerating progress toward ending child labour. This meeting provides an opportunity for International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) members of Alliance 8.7 to learn about the preparations thus far and to express their views on the agenda and intended outcomes of the Conference.

What’s Happening on 29 October?

Alliance 8.7 invites its INGO members to a consultative meeting to help shape the agenda and outcomes of the Conference. This is a unique opportunity for INGOs to contribute their expertise and perspectives, ensuring that civil society’s voice is reflected in the global agenda.

Agenda Highlights:

Feedback from the Host Country and the Office: Updates on regional consultations, including insights from Africa, the Americas, the Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe and Central Asia. These consultations are designed to ensure regional priorities are fully reflected in the global dialogue.

Expectations from INGOs and Intergovernmental Organisations: INGOs and other stakeholders will share their expectations for the conference outcome, helping to identify priority topics, actions for 2025–2030 and beyond, and good practices to be showcased.

How to Participate

Interventions: INGOs wishing to deliver a short intervention (up to three minutes) should contact the Alliance 8.7 Secretariat at info@alliance87.org by 27 October. Please note that, due to time constraints, not all requests may be accommodated.

Why Your Voice Matters
